Persepholis has stayed on my mind. I do not recall the revolution or the leader of that revolution, Ayatollah Khomeni, being mentioned directly (or any reference to Islam). I wonder about the intention of the omission. Perhaps this was to keep the focus on her childhood years and expereinces within the revolution and subsequent secularization of society free from any religious-political references to the revolution?
The omission has made me curious.
